Looking to start your debt free journey? Or are you getting to the end of the month and wondering where all your money has gone? It might be time to set out a monthly budget and I have just the free monthly budget template for you!
Starting a budget
It can be hard to think about everything you need to include in your monthly budget. You might have no idea what you spend on food or clothes. When I first started budgeting, I spent over £150 per month on eating out. Therefore I recommend going through your bank statements and looking at what you have actually spent. Also, by creating a budget this will show you as well what dates your bills come out and how much they are. Once you can see this information as well you might realise for example, you are paying for breakdown monthly but you also get this through your bank for paying the monthly fee. You are paying for the same thing twice. It enables you to see what you are spending your money on and whether you need too. I call this a bill audit and I have a post on it here.
Free monthly budget template
The next thing you need is to create the budget. I have created a free monthly budget template you can download. You can either download to use on your device or you can print it off! All you need to do is subscribe using the email popup at the top of this page. The budget template will then be sent straight to your inbox! It also gives examples of headings to use in your budget. There is space to put your own categories in as well, the name of the supplier or expense, the date and amount.
If you find this template useful or decide to use it please let me know, I’d love to see it!
