I am lucky enough that due to training to be an accountant, I have access to student discounts. I sometimes forget that there are a lot of places that accept student discount so I thought I’d make a list of my top 10 discounts if you have a student card!
This is one of my favourites and one that I use a lot! If you are a student and can send them proof, you can get a 6 month free trial of Amazon Prime. Then if you want to keep this, it is half price for you at £3.99 a month.
This is also one I use a lot, you have to get it added to your boots advantage card. However, once this is the case, you get 10% of all products and boots points as well. I especially like this when they have the 3 for 2 offer at Christmas and you can double up!
Get a free McFlurry, cheeseburger or chicken mayo when buying an extra value meal. Any day of the week!
This isn’t necessarily just for students, it applies to anyone that is 16-25 as it is a railcard. You have to pay for the card, which you can either take out for one, two or three years. I chose to pay for three years upfront (as you get a discount) for £72. Now you may think that is a lot of money and it is but this card allows you to save a 1/3 on rail journeys. You can also link it onto your Oyster to get discount fares if you don’t buy tickets. For me, this is really useful. I live near London and this saves me about £11 a trip. Also, for me to get to Birmingham from where I live (outskirts off London), is only £9.00 with my railcard. The savings do really add up if you use the train.
You can get 10% off in the Co-op. I have one down the road from where I live and even though it is more expensive in there compared to Tesco, I use it when I’ve forgotten something on my weekly shop!
This is one of my favourites too! I shop here for my clothes so having 10% of is a dream. Also, they often have times in the year where they up this to 20-25% with student discount.
Again it really depends where you shop but you can get 10% off with a student discount card. They are similar to ASOS too, as they up their discounts in the year sometimes to 20-25% as well.
Now I love a good pizza and luckily if you have access to student discount you can get 35% off at Domino’s!
If you have access to student discount, you can get 20% of virgin experiences. I find this useful, as when I normally find something I want to do, I then go find it on there and get 20% off too!
Office and Schuh
I live in Vans so this helps me a lot as both these shoe shops offer 10% student discount and again throughout the year will raise the discount to 20-25%.
